Thursday, July 14th 2011 Neil Patrick Harris Guest Hosts American Top 40 With Ryan Seacrest This Weekend
LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2011 -- Neil Patrick Harris, two-time Emmy Award winner, 2010 People's Choice Award winner and star of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, will guest host American Top 40 this weekend, July 16 and 17. In addition to counting down the Top 40 songs, NPH will answer questions directly from fans and talk about his latest feature film The Smurfs, which hits theaters July 29.
A TV, film and Broadway star, Harris is widely known for his roles in Doogie Howser, M.D., Joss Whedon's musical web series Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Starship Troopers and the Harold & Kumar series. He has received critical acclaim for his musical and dramatic roles on Broadway, including productions of Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, RENT, Proof and Assassins. Harris has also hosted the Tony Awards (2009 and 2011), the Emmy Awards (2009), and Spike's Video Game Awards (2010). He was named one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in 2010, and he will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.
