FOX Sports Radio to Broadcast Two "UFC on FOX" Events in January

LOS ANGELES, January 17, 2012 -- FOX Sports Radio continues its partnership with FOX Sports and the Ultimate Fighting Championship(R) in the new year as the network simulcasts two fight nights this month. The first event will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. on Friday, January 20, and will feature three fights broadcast by FX. "UFC on FX: Fight Night" coverage will begin at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m ET with lightweight contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller colliding in the night's main event. Also featured is an exciting welterweight bout between Duane Ludwig and Josh Neer, as well as an explosive heavyweight tilt pitting Pat Barry against Christian Morecraft. After the fights, mixed martial arts expert Larry Pepe will host a FOX Sports Radio wrap-up show with interviews and call-ins from 8 p.m. -- 10 p.m. PT/11 p.m. -- 1 a.m. ET.

On Saturday, January 28, FOX Sports will air a tripleheader live from the United Center in Chicago. Coverage on fight night will begin with a simulcast of the "UFC on FOX" from 5:00 p.m. -- 7:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. -- 10:00 p.m. ET. In the night's main event, former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans takes on undefeated former national champion wrestler Phil Davis to determine the next challenger for the 205-pound title. In the night's co-main event, controversial middleweight contender Chael Sonnen battles Mark Munoz for the right to fight champion Anderson Silva. In the third fight, British star Michael Bisping looks to earn a shot down the road at the middleweight title when he goes toe-to-toe with Demian Maia. After fight night, Pepe will host a FOX Sports Radio three-hour program from 7:00 --10:00 p.m. PT/10:00 p.m. ET -- 1:00 a.m. ET with interviews and call-ins.
