V103 Chicago Adds The Sweat Hotel To Late Night Line-Up

Chicago - February 10, 2012 -- V103 announced today the addition of The Sweat Hotel to its late night programming line-up, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 15. The Sweat Hotel will air weekdays from 1-5:00 a.m. CST and Saturdays from 1-6:00 a.m. CST on V103. The Sweat Hotel is hosted by Keith Sweat and features a special blend of 'love talk' and R&B slow jams.

The Sweat Hotel was rated the No. 1 nationally syndicated urban adult contemporary (AC) evening radio show in the U.S. by Arbitron's fall 2011 metro ratings. The show features special guests and live in-studio musical performances. Sweat also engages listeners by encouraging fans to call in with their confessions, apologies and dedications. This month, The Sweat Hotel celebrates its five-year anniversary and now broadcasts to 50 affiliates nationwide. The Sweat Hotel began national syndication through Premiere Networks in February 2007.

"It's such an honor to be heard on V103," said Sweat. "I'm truly blessed to have the opportunity to reach this great audience through my radio show every night. I can't wait to welcome Chicago to The Sweat Hotel!"

"Keith Sweat is a Chicago favorite and remains one of music's most engaging singer-songwriter-producers," said Derrick Brown, Director of Urban Programming, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Chicago. "The Sweat Hotel has a coast-to-coast radio following that has grown tremendously and I couldn't be happier to have Keith's talent and versatility on V103's team."

The All About Love Valentine’s Day Concert will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, the night before The Sweat Hotel's debut in Chicago. The concert will feature Sweat, Fantasia and Eric Benet at the Arie Crown Theater. Sweat will be available for interviews at the V103 Coca-Cola Lounge.

In November of the same year, he released his debut album, Make It Last Forever, which sold more than three million copies. On the R&B charts, "I Want Her" hit No. 1 and the title track hit No. 2. His next album, I'll Give All My Love To You, hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Keep It Comin’ debuted in the Top 20 on the album charts. Sweat released his fourth album Get Up On It in the summer of 1994 and followed with Keith Sweat in 1996, his self-titled fifth album which hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and gained quadruple platinum status. The single "Twisted" hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and "Nobody" hit No. 3. In 2008, Sweat released Just Me, followed by Ridin’ Solo in 2010. His latest album, Til’ the Morning, was released November, 8, 2011 via eOne Music, and the title track was the No. 1 most added at Urban AC radio the week of release. The R&B and pop icon has delivered five straight No. 1 albums and sold more than 25 million records.

After much success as a recording artist, Sweat ventured into the producing side of the business. In 1992, he discovered the group Silk and produced their debut album which resulted in a #1 hit, "Freak Me." In 1995, he repeated that success for R&B group, Kut Klose. Sweat then helped form his own super R&B group, LSG, with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill in 1997. LSG released two albums that sold more than three million units and singles. In addition, Sweat has produced numerous songs such as Men At Large's Don’t Cry; Dru Hill's Love’s Train and Share My World; Immature's Extra, Extra; Ol' Skool's Am I Dreaming; The Isley Brothers' Slow Is The Way; The O'Jays' Baby You Know (featuring Keith Sweat); and many more.

In February 2007, Sweat signed a deal with Premiere Networks, the leading audio network in the U.S., to nationally syndicate The Sweat Hotel. Heard Sundays through Fridays from 7 p.m. to midnight in all time zones, Sweat brings his quiet storm of R&B and slow jamz to listeners nationwide. Broadcasting live from Atlanta, he welcomes special guests and features live in-studio musical performances, while also encouraging fans to call in with their confessions, apologies and dedications. The Sweat Hotel, which is currently heard on 50 stations nationwide, is the #1 nationally syndicated Urban AC evening radio show in the U.S. (Source: Arbitron, FA'11, Metro, Exact Times, AQH, P 12+).

One of Sweat's latest projects is the Dru Hill reality show, Keith Sweat’s Platinum House. Created and executive produced by Sweat, the TV show is shot as his home and studio in Atlanta, and has yielded #1 ratings on Centric Television. Keith is also working on a relationship book titled Make It Last Forever: The Do’s and the Don’ts, which is scheduled to be released in 2012. A renowned performer, recording artist, producer, Georgia Music Hall of Famer and father of four, Keith Sweat has more than two decades in the soul business.
