Bob & Tom Partners with USO
The Bob & Tom Show Sends Laughter from Home for Fourth Year
The Bob & Tom Show partners with USO to send care packages full of love and laughter to troops serving around the world
Indianapolis, IN - For the fourth year in a row,
The Bob & Tom Show joins forces with the USO to provide deployed service members with much deserved treats this holiday season. Since 2005,
The Bob & Tom Show has raised over $580,000 and sponsored more than 23,200 care packages!
In addition to the care packages, Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold of
The Bob & Tom Show produced a hilarious compilation CD called "Greetings from the USA" to bring laughs and smiles to U.S. armed forces around the world. A total of 20,000 CDs will be shipped to deployed service members, thanks to the underwriting contributions of NAPA Auto Parts, the world's largest auto parts network.
The Bob & Tom Show is a comedy-based, nationally syndicated morning radio program that airs on more than 150 stations across the country. They are also well known for their charitable work as they have generated millions of dollars, which they have raised and donated to various local charities.
At a minimum, each care package includes an AT&T prepaid international phone card, snacks, playing cards, reading material, camo kits containing shampoo, conditioner, sun block, hand sanitizer, tooth paste, tooth brush, sunscreen and other requested and needed items. Each donor can also include a personal message thanking troops for their service and sacrifice.
"We are extremely pleased to support Operation USO Care Package this holiday season," said Bob and Tom. "The men and women of the U.S. armed forces risk their lives every day and we are proud to offer our audience the chance to personally thank our deployed service members for their service and sacrifice."
Bob & Tom Show listeners can send care packages to deployed service members by visiting
www.bobandtom.com and clicking on the "Operation USO Care Package" logo. There, listeners can purchase as many care packages as they wish and include their own personal message of support.
"The USO care package program is possible because of the support of
The Bob & Tom Show and its audience," said Elaine Rogers, USO of Metropolitan Washington DC President and Worldwide Administrator for Operation USO Care Package. "With the support of Bob & Tom's listeners service members around the world will know they have not been forgotten this holiday season."
